RTU is a remote measurement and control unit commonly used for power. It is responsible for monitoring and controlling on-site signals and industrial equipment. It transmits data to the dispatcher and local front-end machines, and can also receive various commands from the dispatching room.
The front-end machine is generally placed on the dispatching end, which converts the data of the dispatching automation system and the cooked data into each other. Usually include modem boards or digital isolation boards, terminal servers, front-end servers and so on. The specific function is to modulate and demodulate the substation channel, parsing the message into basic remote signal, telemetry or remote control data for further processing by the background SCADA system, and convert the control commands, timing, conversion commands etc. The SCADA system into the corresponding format data is sent to the substation. It can be seen as a translation and bridge function between the dispatching backend system and the station. The resolution and conversion of different protocols and channels are completed by them.

ZMUX-3300 is a 6U high rack transmission access device. It is composed of 6U high frame and multiple independent service tributary boards. The tributary board is developed by main board and single card module structure and supports mixed insertion. There is no influence between each branch board and each service interface.
