Now optical transceivers can transmit a lot services, such as: video, audio, data, switch, telephone, Ethernet and so on. Their interfaces as follow:
1. RJ45 Ethernet interface, the connection is generally five network cable. The RJ-45 interface in the optical transceiver is the most commonly used interface for Ethernet. RJ-45 is a common name, which is standardized by IEC (60) 603-7, using 8 defined by the international connector standard. Position (8-pin) modular jack or plug.
2. BNC head video interface, connected with cable, refers to the coaxial cable interface in the optical transceiver, BNC interface is used for 75 ohm coaxial cable connection, providing two channels of receiving (RX) and transmitting (TX), which is used for connection of unbalanced signals.
3. RJ-11 interface in the optical transceiver is what we usually call the telephone line interface.
4. The fiber interface is the FC port, and the FC fiber jumper is connected to it. The fiber interface in the optical transceiver is the physical interface used to connect the fiber cable. There are generally several types.
5. RS-232 interface(also named as EIARS-232-C) is the most commonly used serial communication interface in optical transceivers. RS-232 interface is widely used in various types of optical transceivers. It is the standard for serial communication.
6. VGA interface: VGA (VideoGraphicsArray) also has a name called D-Sub. The VGA interface has a total of 15 pins, divided into 3 rows, 5 holes per row, which is the most widely used interface type on the graphics card. Most graphics cards have such interfaces. It transmits red, green, and blue analog signals as well as sync signals (horizontal and vertical signals). Use a VGA connection device, the cable length should not exceed 10 meters, and pay attention to the connector.
7. DVI interface: DVI (Digital Visual Interface) interface and VGA are the most commonly used in the computer, comparing VGA, DVI can transmit digital signals, no need to enter digital-to-analog conversion, so the picture quality is very high. Currently, DVI interfaces are also available on many HDTVs. It should be noted that there are various specifications for the DVI interface, and DVI-D (Digital) and DVI-I (Intergrated) are common. DVI-D can only transmit digital signals, you can use it to connect graphics cards and flat-panel TVs. DVI-I can be converted to and from VGA in DVI-D.
8. HDMI interface: HDMI (High Definition Multimedia Interface) interface is appeared recently, it is the same as DVI is to transmit all digital signals. The difference is that the HDMI interface can not only transmit high-definition digital video signals, but also transmit high-quality audio signals at the same time. The function is the same as the RF interface, but due to the use of fully digital signal transmission, there will be no image quality deterioration like the RF interface. Whether it is installed securely, it may cause ghosting in the image.
9.The data interface is RS485 serial port,it can connected to a variety of wires such as network cable.
